RSR040 – Random Soul & Inaya Day – Sweet Obsession (GIOM Remix)

RSR040-CD-SlipRANDOM SOUL stand tall with their house roots, and bring us another rock solid vocal release, this time featuring the incomparable INAYA DAY. ‘Sweet Obsession’ offers a moody bassline groove, vocal cuts and classic drums, all with their usual clean production for a modern twist.

In a tribute to their early sounds, they have offered 2 original versions, One with a more ‘funky’ piano riff, and the other with a more stripped, deeper feel. 2 great club cuts for the house heads.

Keeping the underground appeal going strong, they have snapped up one of the highest regarded remixers in the current deeper house circuit. French-born, London resident, GIOM, is no stranger to rocking a club track, and that’s exactly what he has delivered on this remix. His usual bounce, combined with quirky vocal cuts and a hypnotic bass groove, has all the trimmings of an Ibiza classic. With the season just underway, this one’s an essential for any day time or moonlight ravers.

Sweet Obsession packs a punch, and it’s going to be that tune you can’t put down. Get down on it!

RSR039 – Random Soul – Forbidden Love (INC Grant Nelson Remix)

RSR039-CD-SlipRANDOM SOUL return to their deeper house roots, while still offering up a slice of soul with their latest vocal bomb, ‘Forbidden Love’. Tried and tested, the original boasts hypnotic chords, edgy vocal and an old school ‘house bass’ flavour. Classic drums combine with futuristic vocal treatment to give the perfect balance of old and new school production.

Joining RSR’s growing list of remixers, is one of the biggest and most sought after house producers in the last 20 years. We are talking about the man himself, Sir Grant Nelson. Grant’s name is synonymous with quality, in any genres he touches, and someone we are INCREDIBLY proud to have re-work this future classic.

Grant’s mix effortlessly combines his soulful elements with a nasty future deep bassline. Tuned vocal cuts, twisted garage infused chords, and jacked-up beats, help take this one right to the dance floor. If there’s any track that will light up your floor this summer, it’s going to be this one!

RSR038 – Random Soul – We Come From The Night (INC Migs Remix)

RSR038-CD-Slip

RANDOM SOUL are finally ready to unleash their latest club cut, which features YOGI’s own vocals.

‘We Come From The Night’ was spawned a few months back after they returned from their ADE tour. Inspired and ready to take their European influences to the studio, Yogi & Husky wasted no time making this bomb for the floors. Its hooky vocal and rising chord loop are all but an intro to the deliciously NASTY-ASS drop that happens in the middle of the track, as they flex their bass-line sound. It is Random Soul in their classic musical style, mixed with the right amount of OOMPH, to make this an essential house track. Ready to flood the system!

This package needed a little something else though, and there wasn’t a better person RSR could think of to throw down a remix for ‘We Come From the Night’, than the Defected house master himself, MIGUEL MIGS. Synonymous with quality and finesse, Miguel’s productions continue to be in a league of their own. He has put the perfect twist on the original, while offering his trademark drums, hand crafted synths and effects wizardry. His ‘DEEP SALTED DUB’ remix has taken us to school on what Deep House is all about.

Already picked up by HED KANDI for their world-renowned ‘Deep House’ compilation for 2014, this release is ready to set your feet on fire!

‘We come from the night, flooding into the system, look up to the light, giving into the rhythm.’
